At Capricorn Performing Arts, we are dedicated to nurturing creativity, discipline, and self-expression in every student. We believe that the performing arts have the power to transform lives, and our mission is to foster an environment where students can grow both as artists and individuals.
We encourage creativity without limits, providing students with the tools and confidence to explore their unique talents. Through dedication, hard work, and a passion for performance, we empower each student to reach their full potential.
Collaboration, respect, and community are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that the best performances come from working together and supporting each other. Above all, we aim to create a positive, inclusive space where students feel inspired to express themselves, embrace challenges, and celebrate their progress.
At Capricorn, we don’t just teach performing arts—we help shape confident, well-rounded individuals ready to succeed on and off the stage.
Flo trained at the University of Chichester Conservatoire in Musical Theatre and Arts Development. She has taught at multiple performing arts schools for over 10 years, teaching a variety of different ages and abilities. She has performed in numerous local plays and musicals over the years and more recently found a love for choreography, winning Best Choreographer at the NODA East District 2 Awards. Flo has such a passion for building confidence and skills as well as a love for the arts. She couldn’t be more excited for what the future holds at Capricorn.
With being brought up in a Motown/Soul household, Mea-Ellease was able to find her niche for singing very quickly. Mea has taught for over 4 years now to all aspiring mini stars and has created incredible, unforgettable bonds. From taking her first ever singing lesson at 13 and her first ever dance lesson at 15, Mea every day has an unconditional love for teaching. With going from ensemble to leading roles in her youth and amateur dramatics theatre productions, Mea adores every moment on stage with sharing the love and gratitude in that final bow with everybody.
Capricorn Performing Arts was founded by Flo and Mea, two performers brought together by fate, who quickly became not only colleagues but lifelong friends. Having performed together in numerous productions, they always had each other's backs, both on and off the stage. It wasn't long until they discovered they shared a dream: to create a performing arts school that would offer a fun, supportive environment for both children and adults.
In the summer of 2024, their vision came to life. Flo and Mea opened Capricorn Performing Arts, with a mission to provide high-quality, engaging classes in dance, drama, music, and musical theatre. Their goal was simple: to create a safe, welcoming space where students could explore their creativity, build confidence, and enjoy the arts without pressure.
Today, Capricorn continues to thrive, offering classes that foster growth, collaboration, and most importantly, fun. Flo and Mea’s passion for teaching and their commitment to the arts remain at the heart of everything they do.
